These stamps were created for Nicolaus Copernicus’s 550th anniversary.
I wanted to depict his discovery of heliocentrism by bringing together old and new in illustration styles. For this I drew the celestial bodies as alchemical symbols, but kept the whole work minimalist for a more modern feel. I also used a gothic font for the title and a sans serif for the body text to support this concept.

I also created and ink stamp and envelop for the project. I designed these so they would work together, where pressing down the stamp would connect the symbols on the envelope into the solar system.
